Dining Chairs

The very first dining chairs were rough three legged wooden stools which were refined over time to include backrests and upholstery paddings.  During the 18th century, chair designers such as Hepplewhite and Chippendale revolutionised the way in which The Dining Chair was perceived through their varied and stylish creations.  With the advent of the Industrial Revolution, dining chairs became more widely available.

Various modern and traditional styles are showcased in the Dining and Occasional Chair Gallery below. These classic chair styles can be customized to individual requirements through options in piping, nailing,  leg style and colour, fabric, trimming and  size modifications. Alternatively, create your own design!

As standard, all Dining and Occasional Chairs  come with a traditionally sprung seat, organic luxury stuffings, hand sewn covers and stained, polished and waxed legs. Fabrics with a pattern repeat may need additional metres and some design modifications may alter the guide price.* FR wool interliner will be required for non fire-retardant fabric.
